Disbelief

Can somebody please take me by the hand, sit me down, and gently explain to me how our new baby could have possibly turned one last Friday?

I mean...I just had her.

See:
I hadn't even gotten around to mentioning the strawberry birthmark on the inside of her elbow, and the perfectly symmetrical pink dot on each nostril, and the one extra long eyelash on her left eye!

I mean, didn't I just walk in on Hallie teaching her new baby sister all about Daniel in the lions den, and Shadrack, Meshak, and Abednigo (sp) in that fiery furnace?

We still call her baby Rachel.  And nine times out of ten we drop the "Rachel" which I'm really trying to work on now that she's an actual age.

Did I really knead these thighs enough?
I sure hope so because they're getting slimmer by the "woddle-run".

Just look at that adorable little face(s):
And this adorable hat my friend JaNeal's mom made for her, that she gets pelted with complements on all the time.  I think it's safe to say she makes it.

Wait.

Hold the phone.

Have I reeeeaaallly adjusted to having three kids yet?
Is it really over?

That scared to death feeling I had during the whole third trimester on how I was going to finagle three?

Am I a survivor?

And how come Hallie and Chan look so much younger up there?  What?!?!

Alright, well reality caused me to make this cake:
And I don't know how many kit-kat's I ate in a 48 hour span but I know it has to break some sort of record out there.

We had a small family party that Rachel just loved, can you tell?

And I'm really wishing I took more pictures but here you go:
The kids were sooo excited when their Uncle James brought in their new dog Sasha.  (Which happens to be one of the prettiest dogs I've ever seen...and sweetest.)

Oh Rachel how we love you!

Here's a gem from her first time with baby oatmeal.  And just when I thought I might have a non-picky eater in the house...
Rachel, we love your strong nods "yes" and your quick shakes "no".

Your peek-a-boos.

Your waves "hi" and "bye".

And most of all your contagious giggle!  We couldn't be happier that we have you in our family!

Happy Birthday Baby ;)
